AOAA 6/1/13
Is anyone interested in checking out the new Offroad park located in Shamokin Pa. It is about the same distance as Rausch Creek. I put in for a few dates and they came back with 6/1/13. If it works we need to get it approved by the town board wich I was told was no problem. I think the fee is $20 per rig plus $ for passenger. Not sure how much.
I was there last Sunday and ran a few new trails and they were tuff. All level trails are avaiable. They will give us a guide to show us around.
This place is only open by group appointment after approved by town board. So here is your chance.
Lets show them support and get out there.

So far I have 2 confirmed and 2 tentative.
We will not be having our May Rausch creek trip so this is going to be out "alternative trail ride" for May. Please keep me in the loop on this as I'm definitely going!!

Re: AOAA 6/1/13
Well it looks like we are going to have yo cancel. There was not enough interest. If the date was bad we can always come up with alternate dates.

Re: AOAA 6/1/13
Is this definitely canceled?? Is it because of the attendance?? Its still a month away and we have now some more interested. How many people do you need to do this trip? How much lead time do you need commitment by? Please let me know if this can still happen as now I have about 5 guys that we need to find something else to do on that date. Thanks - John

Re: AOAA 6/1/13
They want 10. I a going to try a different date later in the season hoping for a better turn out. It is a little involved, first we need to choose a date ourselves. Then get trail guides to accommodate us. After we have our date set with trail guides we get it approved by town. If someone wants to help pick a date is fine with me. I didn't have much luck. I can get it all approved provided guides are available on the dates we pick

Re: AOAA 6/1/13
I believe they need to have at least a months notice. AOAA is run by the town, and has to be approved by the board at their monthly meeting. So the logistics really need to have more time to plan.
I think third weekend of October or Early November would be good time to set up a run.

Re: AOAA 6/1/13
Im not 100% sure when our annual club camping trip or what weekend OK4WD has their OKtoberfest truck show usually those weekends in mid Oct. I cant speak for everyone in JJ but I would venture to say Nov. Would probably be a better month for our club to get a good turnout and make this trip worth wild. I dont think we really plan anything in Nov. except our food drive for thanksgiving and our monthly Rousch Creek trip. Those events are both the end of the month anyway. Jadkar is the P.R. officer and I'm sure going to be the guy spearheading this trip so its really up to what he believes will work best for JJ.
