I use a SOLID diff cover, Polyperformance has them for $65

in the back of my CJ Dana 44 I run a Bad apple rig guard and in the front Dana 44 I run a Jeep half diff guard.

I run the Bad Apple ring gear guards front and back. Thankfully the stock Scout II Dana 44 steering arms are rather long so the tie rod clears.

Front:
Medium duty cover (used stock HD cover from Jeffs Bronco Graveyard)
Warn guard

Rear:
Medium duty cover (same Ford part) + L-shaped piece of leaf spring welded to bottom of housing. The free end protects the cover, the bottom is a skid.

I voted HD cover as the closest choice.
