Re: How do you protect your axle gears from rocks? in the back of my CJ Dana 44 I run a Bad apple rig guard and in the front Dana 44 I run a Jeep half diff guard.

Re: How do you protect your axle gears from rocks? I run the Bad Apple ring gear guards front and back. Thankfully the stock Scout II Dana 44 steering arms are rather long so the tie rod clears.

Medium duty cover (used stock HD cover from Jeffs Bronco Graveyard) Warn guard  Rear: Medium duty cover (same Ford part) + L-shaped piece of leaf spring welded to bottom of housing. The free end protects the cover, the bottom is a skid.
