So after years of an on and off again (literally, sometimes it would turn on sometimes it wouldn't) relationship it is time for some major updates to the Bronco.
You can find the current stats of the bronco here:
http://liorclub.org/Members/jakem.htmlLike anything else there is a long term, never ending plan for the bronco but i am going to be tackling everything from the B pillar back first. The main reason for this is to 4 link and stretch the rear. Current wheelbase is less than 92". With the engine mostly in front of the front axles the truck tends to lift the rear tires on just about anything. Although a front stretch would probably help more I've decided to work from back to front.
Here is the Plan for Phase 1:
-Dovetail the rear quarter panels
-Install a 4link Rear suspension
-Stretch wheelbase rearward about 10"
-Fabricate a new cage from the main hoop back including tie-ins.
-install Coilovers or airshocks
-Make room and mount everything that was in the bed back in (Fuel cell, Tools, Spares, etc.)
-Figure out where the spare is going to go
-replace quarters and wheel wells sheet metal. (Spray paint quality body work)
Overall i would like to get the truck as low as possible and accommodate at least 37" tires in the future.
Step one clear out the bed...
