Post NOVA visits Northeast Off Road Adventures
The first quarterly meeting of the year for NOVA is usually hosted by LIOR Club and held in Massachusetts.

This year however, we were invited by our friends Scott and Jon, from HV4W Club, to hold the run at their offroad driving school, Northeast Off Road Adventures,(NORA) located in Ellenville, NY.

Participants were treated to a great day at their modern, tech filled, yet charming and rugged, indoor training facility. Upon arrival, it was pretty cold and we had a good amount of snow on the ground. Scott invited us in for a tour of the building and it was impressive. Our schedule for the day, and photos from their hosting the Ultimate Adventure last summer we’re streaming on the big screen TV’s as we toured and took care of some housekeeping items, like signing waivers.

Once that was done, Jon, Andy and Tony, led a diverse group of rigs out for a great day on the trails. It’s a beautiful property and the trails had something for every skill level. Scott’s son Alex was onhand taking photos of the group as we moved about.

After returning to the schoolhouse, our club fired up the grills and served up some hot BBQ(burgers, dogs, chicken, and kielbasa) for everyone to fill up their bellies. Big thanks to everyone from my club that worked on lunch.

We retreated inside for the meeting once lunch was complete. During the meeting we welcomed a new club into NOVA. Tony and the crew from NORA4x4 Adventure Club were voted into the Alliance. Their club is comprised of people that have attended classes at the NORA school. So, not only do they teach you how to Offroad, but they have a club that allows you to continue your off-roading adventures with like minded people. How cool is that?

Another great thing that came from the meeting is NORA’s offer of gift certificates to each NOVA club to be awarded to their club members as they see fit. The instruction at this school goes above and beyond anything a newbie can get in the way of training, experience and confidence before hitting the trails. Scott and Jon are official, I4WDT-certified Offroad instructors and their curriculum and class offerings cover everything one would need to drive Offroad safely.

It’s just not newbies that can benefit from their knowledge. Advanced and experienced drivers can also refresh their skills and knowledge by attending a class at NORA.

Our club just recently held a contest to award our gift certificates. We asked those members interested to submit either a written or video recorded statement as to why they felt they deserved to receive such an awesome prize and it was a big success.

So, I encourage each NOVA club to take full advantage of our relationship with Northeast Off Road Adventures and get your people signed up for some classes and use those gift certificates.
